Concept for Organizational Culture Change in the SILGOR, a.s. Company

The aim of this thesis was to summarize the theoretical knowledge related to the concept of organizational culture, describing the most important functions, elements, structures, typology and methods for its analysis. Based on the analysis of organizational culture in the organisation was outlined the current organizational culture through the use of systematic observation and investigation using interviews, written methods of interviewing and document analysis of the organization. Then the deficiencies in the organizational culture of the organization have been detected and the actions and recommendations for improving the current situation towards the desired organizationa culture have been suggested.
The importance of knowledge of cross-cultural differences in managing intercultural teams

The aim and focus of the bachelor's thesis are different managers’ perspectives on solving the problems of cultural differences in the diverse teams of an international XY company. The thesis' major goal is to identify important factors and key aspects of cultural differences and management work in a diverse environment for managers. The partial goal is the identification of the obstacles and barriers managers need to face and overcome in a multicultural environment. The goals are achieved using qualitative research in the form of individual online interviews with co-owners, managers, and employees of a selected company. The qualitative research method of qualitative interviews (primary data) was used to obtain data for this bachelor thesis. The analysis for finding the main problems and differences in intercultural teams from the interviews was done in the MAXQDA program. In this thesis, are identify the necessity of communication and cooperation among people of different cultures as the most important factors for managing intercultural teams. Key aspects for manager are to learn, adapt, understand, control different communication styles, put cooperation ahead of competition; and improve language skills. The manager gets in touch the most frequently with language obstacles and barriers, which cause misunderstandings due to different views. The recommendations are to improve knowledge of language and cultural differences (a list of cultural differences is attached in the appendix), improve effective communication in teams, learn and try to understand, adapt rather than judge, and prioritize cooperation over competition. Intercultural teams are more effective and creative because people have various ways of solving problems and bring new solutions.
Approaches of managers to prevent workplace bullying in the banking sector

The bachelor's thesis is concerned with the approaches of managers to prevent workplace bullying in the banking sector. It aims at knowledge and experience of individual managers with terms mobbing, bossing, staffing and at current situation in branches of various banking institutions. It also analyses approaches taken by banking institutions to this matter and their influence on the education of managers. A questionnaire examines whether managers take action to stop workplace bullying and how they handle potential conflict situations. Based on the research, managers take measures to prevent workplace bullying and banking institutions provide proper training. However, the knowledge of basic terms in this matter is relatively low and managers mostly do not know how to deal with workplace bullying properly. The thesis also proposes a list of suggestions for improving the knowledge of managers and for maintaining good relations in the workplace.
Analysis of managerial accounting in manufacturing company

Managerial accounting is subject of total set of information. Specification of this kind of accounting it that it appears only for internal users and its privacy. Managerial accounting is not regulated by the state, but it is closely connected to financial accounting, which is state-controlled. Main task of managerial accounting is to provide the necessary information for decision made by business manager. It shows them actual situation of many questions inside the company and helps them react to possible negative progress. Managerial accounting presents a series of tasks that are interconnected to each other. That means that it works like identification of actual events and helps managers to control the process of company working. Among the most important and known tools of managerial accounting belongs calculation, which shows used costs to every single product and determine the minimum price of mentioned product. Another important part of managerial accounting is budgeting, which helps managers calculate possible future values and goals and makes detailed plan of future amonds. Third part is called cost accounting and it helps to provide actual used costs in company. Last part of managerial accounting is variance analysis. It is necessary to make because it presents exploring of difference between planed values and actually provided.
Non-profit Managers' Education

This thesis covers the topic of Non-profit Managers' Education in the Czech Republic. The first theoretical part concentrates on the brief introduction of the non-profit sector, continues with the core management theories, managers' tasks and competencies, and introduces the primary differences between non-profit and profit organizations. It continues with short history of managers' education with concentration in non-profit sector. The first part closes with educational theories, the design of specialized study programs and opinions of current managers on needs of non-profit sector. The second part includes methodology with the main goals, research questions and their presumptions, and also the concrete chosen method and its description. The last part of the thesis is the empirical research which processes data from the questionnaire survey, by which are answered the research questions and fulfilled goals of the thesis.

Analysis of the employees evaluation system in XY company

This master thesis is focused on employees evaluation system / performance management in adidas ČR s.r.o. The important part of the thesis is the description of the system's design and analysis of its current functioning. Apart from the method of description also the personal interviews (with company`s managers) and the on-line questionaire (for the employees) were used to identify the biggest areas for improvement and to propose steps leading towards it. Results of this thesis represent the guidelines and ways to make the evaluation system in adidas ČR s.r.o. better functioning and more efficient.
Business Strategies of České Budějovice Pencil Factories Heading for Nationalization in the years 1945-1948

The diploma thesis being submitted deals with the issue of applying managerial strategies and their economic impacts on the České Budějovice pencil factory within the years 1945-1948. The core sources for this analysis were mostly annual reports and operation reports, meeting minutes, statistical reports, correspondence, and sources of private nature. The thesis builds upon the methodological bases of business history. The most prominent pencil industry people of the post-war era became the main subject of the research. Based on the business strategies of these managers, the following parts of the thesis then focused on economic evolution, on which they applied both vertical and horizontal comparisons. The advertising activities of these pencil factories or the negotiations with the former subsidiaries represented by the Hardmuth family did not go unnoticed either. The key contribution of this thesis lies in its analysis of the nationalization process followed by the centralization of the Czechoslovakian pencil industry.
Motivation and evaluation of employees of selected company

The main objective was to ascertain the motivation and evaluation of employees in the selected company. In the first part, I first studied the necessary theory, which I then applied in the practical part of my job - to analyze the evaluation and motivation of the selected company and in the conclusions suggested possible improvements.
